Hi Emmy, the SS Great Britain was built in 1843, so it is 177 years old!
The ship travelled over a million miles and took thousands of people to new lives all over the world in Victorian times, before breaking down in the Falkland Islands where it was too expensive to fix and bring home so the ship was abandoned!
Then in 1970 an engineer crowdfunded to bring the ship back to Bristol (same place it was built) and turn it into a museum so people can go on board and see what it was like to sail to Australia in Victorian times!
