There are so many launches, I think nearly one every day somewhere in the world.
Usually these are for telecommunications satellites – so they are ones that provide TV, internet, phone, radio to different parts of the world.
There are also military satellites – they take images of Earth, similar to the images you can see on “Satellite view” on Google maps. It helps countries to understand what somewhere looks like and how things are changing. They are also used for disasters, like flooding, landslides, earthquakes – so that governments can work out where emergency services might be needed and what roads are still open to get there.

There are two websites I use to work out when a lot of science missions are launching (the ones that explore other parts of the Solar System):
European Space Agency launch calendar: https://www.esa.int/Newsroom/Launch_schedule_2020
NASA launch calendar (the American one): https://www.nasa.gov/launchschedule/
