An engineer trying to make the world a better place by making sure that big offshore platforms and oil and gas plants don't fall down.
I help design and build the foundations of offshore platforms and big oil and gas facilities
My Typical Day: Attend quite a few meetings and videoconferences with teams scattered around the world. If I am lucky, I have a bit of spare time to check some calculations or even do them myself.

What's the best thing you've done in your career?
Got a chance to travel to a remote part of Indonesia and teach in the local university
What or who inspired you to follow your career?
My grandfather (electrical engineer that loved steam engines??)
What was your favourite subject at school?
Science - Physics, (wasn't that good at maths)
What did you want to be after you left school?
I didn't have a plan then. But I like building things and the sea

Not many times

Scuba diving instructor

Travel to many unusual places
