A Materials Engineer working on Nuclear power.
I live in the Midlands with my husband and two young children. I go into schools to talk about science. I have worked on lasers, diggers and nuclear submarines.
I make sure that materials don't break when used.
I work for Rolls-Royce, who make engines for planes, ships and submarines. I make sure that the materials won’t fail and do research to solve problems that occur.
My Typical Day: Every day is slightly different, a mixture of meetings, research, project work and going to look at bits of metal.
